Dr. Zu-Hua He graduated from Zhejiang Agricultural University (now Zhejiang University) in 1983, and went on to receive his master's degree in plant genetics and breeding from the same university in 1986, followed by his doctorate degree in plant pathology in 1996. Currently he is the Principal Investigator at the CAS Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences. 

Dr. Zu-Hua He has been engaged in the research of plant pathology and disease resistance breeding, achieving significant advancements in broad-spectrum plant disease resistance mechanisms and breeding applications, as well as understanding the interaction between disease resistance and growth and development. His research findings have been widely applied and disseminated, contributing significantly to the field of plant pathology and disease resistance breeding.
