Associate/Assistant Professor positions available in Dr. Yongping Huang’s labs

 

The Huang lab is looking for outstanding young researchers starting from June in 2015. We are seeking motivated, creative young researchers to work in insect molecular biology. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in a relevant field with first-author paper(s). Applicants should have excellent communication skills in English, and ability to conduct research independently. The ideal candidate would have experience in molecular biology, DNA and RNA isolation, quantitative RT-PCR, Western blotting, RNA interference, establishing and using transient and stable cell clones, and ability to implement a variety of assays as needed. Experience in insect physiology and insect molecular biology is preferred but not required. Candidates are expected to work closely with the other lab members and coordinate with a number of collaborations with other labs.


Our lab is focusing insect molecular genetics and insect sex determination. Currently we are working on insect genome editing and genetic control.
